Access Consulting involves a range of services designed to ensure that various spaces—whether private property, community environment, workplace, sporting venues, and a range of other places—comply with Australian Disability Access Regulations. These regulations ensure that our community is safe and accessible for people of all abilities, including those with low vision or blindness.

Access Consultants are highly trained Orientation and Mobility specialists with qualifications in assisting people who are blind or have low vision to move through environments confidently and safely. All Guide Dogs Victoria Access Consultants are registered Associate Members of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia.

Access Consultants can provide a comprehensive analysis of your environment—called an ‘access appraisal’—to determine your best option in meeting regulatory obligations, regardless of whether your environment is in the design phase, construction, or a pre-existing structure.

SAFE AND ACCESSIBLE SPACES FOR EVERYONE Who can benefit from Access Consulting?

  • Sporting venues
  • Educational institutions
  • Shops and department stores

  • Hospitals

Regardless of your environment, an access appraisal can help ensure your space complies with Disability Access Regulations and contributes to a safe, inclusive community.
