This residential group program, over one afternoon and three full days, provides a supportive team environment with activities on and off our Kew campus, and caters for adults with all levels of low vision or blindness.

8th October Meet & Greet
Join us at the GDV campus mid afternoon, settle into your Arnold Cook House accommodation and meet Live Safe Travel Smart staff and participants

9th October Personal Safety Concepts
A practical event facilitated by Catherine Schnell of Aiki-Centre, Hawthorn. An opportunity to understand, develop and practice personal safety skills to support safe independent mobility.

10th October Try Before You Ride
A practical event in conjunction with Public Transport Victoria. An opportunity to learn more about how to safely use trains, buses, trams and taxis, including access to stationary vehicles.

11th October Assistance, Access and Advocacy
An interactive discussion on community safety, taxi travel, Traveller’s Aid and advocacy.

COSTS
The program will be delivered at no direct cost to our clients due to the contributions of the City of Boroondara and Guide Dog Victoria’s philanthropy, which also covers all accommodation and food. Where possible we will access fee for service funding (NDIS) to support the service delivery from Practitioners during the program.
