Tours & Speakers View our facilities or receive a visit from a speaker

Come for a visit and learn more about our work. We offer regular tours of our Kew Campus for individuals and groups. Our tours take approximately one hour. They usually consist of:

  • A visit to the nursery to watch the puppies play as you learn about our raising programs.
  • A visit to the Amsden Honour Garden to see memorial messages for Guide Dog handlers in raised lettering and Braille.
  • A short video on the life of a Guide Dog with details on the service and support programs we offer, including Intensive Orientation & Mobility, Acquired Brain Injury Mobility, Occupational Therapy and Children’s Mobility Services.

Tours can be arranged between the hours of 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday. To help cover costs, we ask for a contribution of $5 per person. Bookings are essential.

Do you need a speaker for your community group, school or function throughout Victoria?

Do you want to hear the difference a Guide Dog can make for a person’s life through the lens of their own personal experience?

We have a range of trained speakers waiting to share their inspirational and heartwarming stories. Each speaker is accompanied by their Guide Dog, or the pup they are raising to become a Guide Dog.

A speaking engagement generally takes 45 minutes plus 15 minutes for Q & A. All our speakers have working with children and police checks.
