Tours and Speakers
Guide Dogs Victoria offers enjoyable tours of our Kew Campus to individuals and groups of all ages. Tours take approximately one hour and usually comprise:
- a visit to the Breeding Centre to see puppies at play and hear about our breeding and Puppy Raising programs.
- a visit to the Amsden Honour Garden, with memorial messages in raised lettering and Braille on display, erected by grateful Guide Dog handlers and brood stock holders.
- a short video on the life of a Guide Dog and details of the range of services we offer including Intensive Orientation & Mobility, Acquired Brain Injury Mobility, Occupational Therapy and Children's Mobility Services.
Tours of the Guide Dog Centre can be arranged between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. To help cover costs, we ask for a contribution of:
- Tour only - $2 per person
- Tour plus Morning or Afternoon Tea - $8.00 per person or
- Tour plus a light lunch - $15.00 per person.
(Minimum of 10 people for catering)
