Who can benefit?
You don't have to be totally blind to benefit from Guide Dogs Victoria?s free mobility services - we can assist people of all ages, from five to 95, who are living with low vision ranging through to total blindness.
Our free training programs are offered to people living in Victoria, Australia around their own home or on a short term residential basis at Guide Dogs Victoria's eight acre campus in Kew, Melbourne. We can help Victorians living in both metropolitan and regional areas.
For many of our clients, a Guide Dog is not the answer. We work with you to find the most appropriate mobility training.
Who can refer?
Anyone can. Family, friends, medical professionals and even the person themselves can make referrals. If you are referring another person, please ensure they are aware of and approve of the referral.
How much do we charge our clients?
Nothing. Assessment, training, full board and accommodation, mobility aids and Guide Dogs are free of charge.
