Guide Dogs Victoria offers a comprehensive range of free mobility services to help people travel confidently and safely outside the home. Through our Centre for Mobility Assessment & Training, we can assist people of all ages living with low vision ranging through to total blindness. With domiciliary and short term residential training programs based at our 8 acre campus in Kew, Melbourne, GDV can help Victorians living in both metropolitan and regional areas. We welcome referrals and can address your mobility needs - whatever they may be.
All of Guide Dogs Victoria's services including training, consultations, Guide Dogs, accommodation, meals and equipment are provided entirely free of charge. The primary aim of all our services is to enhance clients' safety, independence and freedom at every stage of their life's journey.
Guide Dogs Victoria's Instructors are Mobility Specialists - tertiary qualified with years of practical experience. Clients also benefit from our consultants in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Physiotherapy, Endocrinology, Optometry and Audiology.
