How you can get involved
Guide Dogs Victoria (GDV) receives no government funding for the breeding, training and provision of Guide Dogs. The limited fund, (approx 7% of our total operational needs), that GDV recieves from Government, contribute towards meeting some of the costs incurred by us in providing ongoing support, assessment, training and therapy, direct to our clients, across all GDV programs and services. We rely on the generosity of individual donors, corporates, people leaving bequests in their Will to Guide Dogs and volunteers to continue to provide our services completely free of charge to Victorians with a vision impairment.
